Our programs support our service members while they are on the front line, as they are being discharged and long after they return. Your donation will be immediately directed to the VFW programs where your support is most urgently needed.
Commander Terry R. Taylor
I’m Terry Rosales Taylor, a 27-year veteran of the US Air Force, a member of the VFW since 2018, and Commander of Hogge-Tate Memorial VFW Post 824 Yorktown since 2025. My active military service took me across the globe to places both friendly and hostile. I was very proud to wear the uniform of my country and remain proud to continue to serve my community as a retiree.
Hogge-Tate Memorial VFW Post 824 Yorktown, Virginia has served the citizens York County since 1993. The vision of the VFW is to ensure that veterans are respected for their service, receive their earned entitlements and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of our country, and that vision drives everything we do.
The overarching mission of the VFW is to foster camaraderie among U.S veterans of overseas conflicts, as well as to serve all veterans, active military and their families in the communities where we live. For over 30 years, Hogge-Tate Post 824 has supported local schools with Youth Scholarships and for the last 15 has done the coordination for the annual Independence Day Parade in Yorktown.
